RED!
How does it make you feel?
Red, this color attracts the most attention and is associated with strong emotions, such as love, and passion. It gives a feeling of strength and power. Red is stimulating and exciting. The strength of this color can even increase appetite.
Pantone announced Viva Magenta the 2023 color of the year! This is a color that is rooted in nature descending from the red family and it also promotes feelings of joy, strength, and fearlessness. We are incorporating this color in several of our new introductions that you will see in the spring. Red can be used effectively either in small amounts or use it to make large bold statements. If you have a large area in the space such as a sofa or a wall using this color you want to select a rug that uses the color in smaller amounts to balance the color usage throughout the area. This will cause the eye to travel through the whole space and creates a visually appealing room.
We have used our Carrara - Charcoal Multi in this example above, with small amounts of red in the design to pair perfectly with the bold red fabric on the sofa. You will also notice the wall color is a bone white that pulls the lighter colors out in the rug. 
If you want to ground your room in the color and define a space within the interior, then use a large amount of red on the floor.
When your walls are neutral consider pulling your color into the room with your area rug.
Area rugs are a great way to define an area for example in this entryway the bold red rug against the beautiful rustic wood finish gives this area instant definition and interest.
